Tesla Cybertruck is a highly anticipated vehicles, and its 1million orders say the same. There hasn’t been a day, when a Cybertruck reservation customer has not tried on Twitter tagging the billionaire CEO, Elon Musk. But this one’s not about that, it’s about a new patent that has been filed tagging the Cybertruck. Let’s discuss about Cybertruck one more time.
Revising the Cybertruck spec-sheet, the tri-motor configuration has been announced with a 0-60 mph time of 2.9 seconds, a towing capacity of 14,000 pounds, and a top speed of 130 mph. Also, it has been announced with an unbelievable range of 500+ miles of EPA estimated range. A recently publish patent of Cybertruck’s user interface hints at actual range of the electric pickup, and it says “610-miles”. So, if we believe these leaked images, the Cybertruck seems to shoot for the star. With Tesla’s semi-truck announced with a range closer to 600 miles, looks like the Tesla-futuristic ranges in the same ballpark as Class 8 truck.
Though these figures have been picked from patent’s illustrations appeared to be screenshots from the Cybertruck’s upcoming UI. Yet, a tri-motor Cybertruck with over 600 miles of range will recolonize the segment. With legendary revival of Ford F-150 Lightning and GMC Hummer EV, Cybertruck is still the hottest thing. These two massive nameplates max out at 300 and 400 miles of range, respectively. These seems to be far from what Tesla could be able to achieve.
