Maserati F Tributo special editions revealed – Ghibli and Levante get a makeover

The last week of April marked an auspicious occasion for the luxury automaker Maserati. It was 75 years celebration of Manual Fangio taking his first  F1 title in Maserati’s iconic 250F racer.  And to share the same joyful memory, Maserati announced F Tributo special editions which gave a complete makeover to Ghibli and Levante.

Both the Maserati Levante and Ghibli are available in bespoke exterior color option of two, which paid homage to Fangio’s 250F and the long-standing racing heritage of this most historic of brands. Tributo Azzuro and Tributo Rosso, that is what the two new hues were known as, rode on 21-inch black wheels with yellow pinstripe and matching brake calipers.

The interiors were garnished with black full-grain leather highlighted with either yellow or red accent stitching on the seats, doors and dashboard. Though the powertrain details of both the Maserati vehicles remain unchanged.

Upcoming compact Maserati Grecale SUV prototype was captured

The Maserati portfolio is rich with supercar like MC20, luxury sedan Ghibli, inspiring Levante and also the icon of elegance, Quattroporte. But did you notice what’s lacking, an compact SUV. And Maserati has been capture testing its upcoming Grecale SUV prototype.

Sitting below the Levante, the Grecale would offer compact size, yet sporty engagement just like its big brother Levante. The details are several, but it should share the Giorgio platform with its Italian cousin Alfa Romeo Stelvio. A wrapped prototype was spotted and the styling cues resembled to the bigger Levante. The name Grecale is inspired from “easterly wind that blows in the western Mediterranean Sea and southern France,” and is expected to debut later this year.

According to Stellantis, “Today, John Elkann, Stellantis Chairman and Carlos Tavares, Stellantis CEO, visited the historic Maserati plant in Modena, Italy where they met with Davide Grasso, Maserati CEO and toured the new MC20 production line, new paintshop and the new Nettuno Engine Lab together. Mr. Tavares also visited the Maserati Innovation Lab and road tested a prototype of the new Maserati Grecale SUV, which will launch later this year.”

The Ghibli Hybrid Love Audacious, that’s what Maserati calls it, bears CANOTWAIT_ badges and 20-inch wheels with a Dark Miron finish. Unveiled on May 20th, and will be limited to just 8 units, reserved just for China.

The powertrain remains unaltered, thus the buyers will be able to race the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and a 48 volt hybrid system that sits under the hood. This engine motivates the Ghibli Hybrid with total power output of 325-hp and 332 lb-ft of torque. Pushing the pedal would rocket the Ghibli from standstill to 62mph in just 5.7 seconds.
